The COVID pandemic caused so much upheaval for many aspects of life, not least of which was children’s education. And although many parts of education adapted to being online, one thing that was not so easy to adapt was school trips. That’s why we were super excited to partner with Robot Proof and Act One to create an immersive VR Field trip.

Act One is an Arizona based children’s charity. Their mission is to ensure that all children have equal access to the arts. They do this by providing financial support and facilitating arts experiences.

Now, thanks to the innovative technology from Robot Proof, a whole class of students can be provided with headsets and see the same arts experience at the same time.

In this VR Field trip we take the viewer on a journey that explores “public art” through the mural making and mariachi music. As part of the experience, we spoke in depth with artist Sentrock and mariachi band Las Azaleas.

They spoke in depth about their art, the journey they’ve taken to get where they are in their careers, and what public art means to them.
