Bravado is a psychological, semi-experimental thriller that blends narrative and documentary elements, following an introverted writer navigating the pressures of the film industry under the influence of a domineering mentor.

Working closely with the director and producers, our role extended across the full post-production process, from editorial through to final delivery. The edit was developed to balance the film’s layered structure, interweaving grounded character moments with stylised, film-within-a-film sequences and documentary inserts.

A key focus during finishing was maintaining visual continuity across contrasting tones and formats. Colour and texture were carefully refined to unify the film’s shifting perspectives while preserving the distinct identity of each narrative layer.

The grade was completed using our in-house proprietary film emulation tool, Lab Grain Pro, introducing subtle grain, depth and organic texture to enhance the film’s cinematic quality while maintaining control across a complex, multi-format workflow.

In parallel, we contributed to visual effects and design elements, supporting transitions, overlays and stylised moments that reinforce the film’s psychological and meta-driven approach.

Lab Class also handled end credit design and the preparation of final deliverables, ensuring the film was completed to specification for festival screenings and distribution.
